The Majors Division is hosting a skills competition on Saturday June 3 at 6:00 p.m. (following the last baseball game of the day). We are hopeful that players and families from other divisions will want to watch the event and cheer on the older kids!
This event is intended to be fun and allow the kids to compete outside of a game setting while showcasing their skills. The competition is made up of four events (including the fan-favorite HR Derby), and players compete with their teammates for a trophy (and bragging rights).
To help make the evening festive, we will also have the Kona Ice Truck, a 50/50 raffle, and the concession stand will be open. We hope to see you there!
Unfortunately the cold, wet April weather got the best of us on Opening Day. Instead, we are excited to celebrate the season with a Closing Day Parade and Ceremony for the Niskayuna Rec Baseball season. Our Closing Day Parade and Ceremony will be held Saturday, June 17. This event will be held rain or shine. All coaches and players will line up at our lower level fields and parade up to the Majors field. At this time, we will have a brief ceremony celebrating our players and sponsors.
All players and coaches should arrive at the lower fields to begin lining up for the parade at 9:30 a.m. Players should be in uniform but sneakers can be worn for the parade. No gloves or bats are needed.
Parents and other spectators are encouraged to stand on Line Drive (the road that leads to the Majors field) and cheer the players on as they parade up to the Majors field.
We are asking for a few volunteers to help support this very special event. Sign Up to Help
We hope to see you there!

On Saturday March 4, The Town of Niskayuna and Gift of Life partnered together to host the first #TeamErin Bone Marrow Drive. We successfully swabbed 485 people and raised donations for the Jasinski's from T-Shirt Sales, a Bake Sale, and a Silent Auction. The event was a community effort and a huge success! Awareness and interest quickly grew as many shared information regarding the bone marrow drive. #TeamErin would like to thank ALL participants!
Thank you to all of the families who have generously donated to support the NBL Hardship Scholarship Fund:
The Hardship Scholarship Fund is used to offset up to 100% of player registrations due to financial need, or the additional cost associated with multi-sibling sign ups. The Board reviews scholarship requests and votes to allocate from the fund. You may donate to the fund while completing your registration for the upcoming season, or by contacting NBL.
